April weddings

Wedding season is getting underway full force now, so here are a couple of April weddings to share. The weather has finally come around, and we ended up with great weather for both!

First is Jen & Jenn. The ceremony and reception are both at the Grand River Center in Dubuque. Isn't it a gorgeous spot? Plus, we got to go out on the Riverwalk for some shots as well. A fabulous day with a fun couple!

Next is Jamie and Kyle. Ceremony at Hidden Valley Church in Dodgeville, reception at the Comfort Inn in Mineral Point. Another beautiful spring day!



Since we were so close to the park, we headed over for a few shots (and some time on the swings too!)



There were violets on all of the tables at the reception- so pretty!




Oh yeah- you know that they knew the bride when she used to rock 'n roll!

Two of my three kids had April birthdays-

Greg is now 16 (and has his driver's license...ahhhhh!)For his golden birthday (16 on the 16th)I took him, a couple of friends and his girlfriend to the Kalahari waterpark for the day.



For Hillary's 13th (can't believe she's a teenager!) we took her and 6 friends to Fiesta Cancun for dinner (don't ya love her sombrero?), then home for a slumber party. I still haven't caught up on my sleep from that night!

The week before Easter we had a party for my Mom's 60th birthday, and to celebrate my little sis graduating with a PhD in Math. We lucked into some nice weather (for once!) and had a great party!

I made birthday cupcakes, and my mom made "math" cookies. The writing on the cookies is random math "stuff" from my sister's thesis, plus some Nebraska cookies (where she went to grad school).

I've spent some time stalking my mom's bird feeders to get photos of the birds. Here are a couple of my faves from this winter-

With all this snow, it's been a great year for sledding! Just a few shots from sledding at "killer hill" with my girls.

Here are a couple of real sweetie-pies I've photographed lately. First is Keely- what a ham~! And you have to love the shot of her with the dogs. One of my total faves lately.





And here is Henry (and family!) It was time to do the goldfish shot with him- one of my fave baby props. (And don't worry, the goldfish isn't real- it was added later digitally).





How lucky am I to get cuties like this to photograph?

I might be a little bit nutty...

But we've added yet another bird to the Line household!

He's an older cockatiel that we adopted through freecycle. His name is Rochmonanov (we didn't name him!) but it's Rocky for short. A very sweet old guy, but he doesn't care much for the parakeets. (They can be pretty pesky!) He totally adores Bea, though, and loves to take a shower with her.

Here he is with the rest of the crew. Rocky is on the left, then Boojie and Snyper, and last Fifi. Aren't they a cute bunch?

Fun at the bridal fair

We had a great turnout again at our booth at the Belmont Bridal Fair. It was exciting to debut our new wedding albums and our newest offereing for this year- the wedding photo booth! For more info on the photo booth, check out the website, or contact Amanda.

I am currently scheduling WINTER FUN PORTRAIT SESSIONS.

These limited edition session can take place at the location of your choice (if you need help finding a good outdoor location, I can help with that!) Your session can consist of more posed photography, casual winter fun (snowball fights, sledding, etc), or some of both! Click here for more info.
