Blog Action Day

Today is BLOG ACTION DAY (for more info on that, click here.

So how do I participate as a photographer? Why, with some nature photography, of course!

First off, a couple of pretty flowers, a Yarrow and Oriental Lily.

Next, some of the hummingbirds that visit my mom's feeder every year.

And I've gotta sneak in one of my kids. But they're in a beautiful wildflower garden I discovered this year. A great place for photos!

Congrats Rebecca & Ben!

Rebcca dn Ben were blessed with the most gorgeous day for their beautiful wedding. Doesn't that blue sky just look unreal!

We went into Madison to the Capitol and Monona Terrace for some posed shots with the wedding party.

After the wedding, a carriage ride through the park.

And THE MOST FUN groom's cake I have seen yet! (The ice cubes are made of Jello!)

Congrats Beth & Matt!

You may remember Beth and Matt's fun engagement photos with their horses. Here are a few faves from their September wedding.

There was a western theme for the day- don't you love the "pew bows"?

Check out the little candy bars with their names on them.

And we must always show a cake shot!

We've been Simpsonized

Simsponize me website

Okay I know this website has been around for a bit, but I finally got the time to Simpsonize my family. We are HUGE Simpsons fans here, so it had to be done. I think it looks a lot like us!

And in case you can't tell, it even gave Bea braces. Cool, huh?

Congrats Marta & Frank

Another day, and another beautiful wedding! This time to Milwaukee to celebrate with Marta and Frank (and their adorable little girl!)

I just loved these fans- what a great idea on a warm summer day!

And who doesn't love a mariachi band?

What a cute little guy Henry is, with 101 expressions!

And here's one of my personal favorites from his session- isn't he just a little doll?

Lulu & Daisy

Some kids are just too darn cute!

Aren't those eyes just to *die* for?

I hope I didn't start a bad habit when I suggested jumping on the bed!

The ring's stones are for her and her girls

Summer fun

We spent a bit of time at the lake this summer, and here are some of the highlights!

Note the "fruit and donut kabobs" (courtesy of my sister) and one of the two fish that Bea caught without using any bait. Also a rousing game of "keep-away", jumping off the raft, playing on the beach, making s'mores and the always required nap by the campfire!

Angela & TJ

I tend to go to the same places for engagment shoots, so it was fun to go somewhere new with Angela and TJ. We hiked around the Arboretum in Madison, and as long as we stayed out of the woods where the bugs tried to eat us, it was a great place to go! Keep an eye out for their wedding pictures next summer!

Kari- class of '08

Back to Katie's garden again, this time for senior pictures with Kari. We unfortunately were there at the same time as a gardening club who had taken over the gazebo, but we got a chance at it while they were enjoying the flowers. And I had a willing sport to get into the creek, which always makes my day!

Congrats Morgan & Jason!

I'm still catching up on posting, but I'm catching up! This gorgeous wedding was in Richland Center. A bit farther than usual for me, but way worth it!

It was a gorgeous day, bright and sunny, but not too hot. Really great for mid-July. We stopped at a park between the wedding and reception for some couples pictures by the pond.

It's all going to the birds...

For those of you who have been to my house recently you already know this, but I thought I'd make it public.

Our house is now completely run by three small birds.

Yes, Boojie, Fifi and Snyper have completed their conquest and now do whatever and go wherever they wish.

You've been warned...
