Megan and Ryan

This is an engagement shoot for one of the winners from my Bridal Expo drawing and her fiance. We went to Katie's Garden in Platteville... one of my regular locations (I'll be back there on Thursday to photograph one of the senior winners from the expo!) It was a warm day, but the flowers were gorgeous and we got some great shots of a cute couple!

Hmm... guess I didn't show any of the shots with flowers in them, but as always you can see more from this shoot (and others) on my recent favorites page!

The Big ONE

Wishing a very happy 1st birthday to my nephew Dakota!

Congrats Matt and Lia!

A beautiful day, a beautiful couple, a beautiful setting... who could ask for more? We were so lucky and the rain stayed away for a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at the Lussier Family Heritage Center in Madison.

And did I mention the cake? YUM!

Beth and Matt

And another recent engagement- Beth and Matt and their horses (and a couple of cows too!)I love doing sessions that are unique, and reflect the personalities of the subjects. Plus, I got some super silhouette shots here, which I'm totally into right now. I'll post more about my silhouette project later...

Watch for Beth and Matt's wedding shots this fall!

Crystal and Nick

I'm a bit behind in posting new pictures since it's a pretty busy time of year for wedding photography. Here are a few from Crystal and Nick's engagement sesson a few weeks ago. We went to the Arboretum in Dubuque- one of my fave places for weddings and engagement sessions. Keep an eye out for their wedding photos later this summer!

Watching them grow

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer has to be watching the children I photograph grow and change from session to session. This is Noah, one of my favorite little guys... so cute and a fun little personality to boot!

And here he is over a year ago. My hasn't he changed! Still has those big-ole eyes though!

Rebecca and Ben

We headed to a new(for me) location to shoot Rebecca and Ben's engagement portraits- the Villa Louis in Prairie du Chien. It was a lot of fun, and we got a lot of great shots.

Rebecca and Ben were up for any crazy thing I wanted to try...

and we even wandered off the grounds down to the river and by the railroad tracks. I will totally be shooting there again. So many possibilities! And I'm looking forward to photographing thir wedding in September, when we'll be headed to Madison to shoot at the Capital!
